The Foundation was created in memory of Jim McMahon's younger sister Lynda. The goals of this non profit foundation is to promote literacy and address illiteracy for children, youth, and adults. The foundation will work to promote awareness and funding for parental involvement in literacy and in areas of expanded health literacy. We want to proactively impact some of the issues of illiteracy and consequences early on through increased awareness and additional funding for after school programs, summer intervention, working with educators and schools. The consequences of illiteracy impact quality of life and the foundation's mission is to productively and positively enhance potential with increased opportunities for literacy.
